Patrick Stewart And Ian McKellen Ask To Join Taylor Swift’s Squad, Recite Lyrics

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen — acting legends, knights, and bff’s — recently requested to join Taylor Swift’s squad.

It all began when Stewart sent a tweet to the pop star asking if he and his friend McKellen could join the squad which consists of an elite group of famous friends, the NY Daily reports.

“So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?” Stewart tweeted.

Stewart is referring to a recently recorded episode of NPR’s quiz show Ask Me Another in which he recited lyrics to Swift’s song in the style of a Shakespearean soliloquy. The episode is set to air on August 20, reports CBC News.

During the show, the host of Ask Me Another, Ophira Eisenburg said, “We’ve given Sir Patrick  some song lyrics that are well known, but not quite the level of Shakespeare he might be used to.”

We’ve given Sir Patrick some song lyrics that are well known, but not quite the level of Shakespeare he might be used to. So you just have to ring in when you know the answer.

No one rang in, apparently not wanting to interrupt Stewart’s recital. Stewart included a link to the recording in his tweet to Swift to sweeten the deal.

Swift was thrilled with the request from Stewart, and tweeted back to thank both actors for making her day.

Stewart’s responded to Swift via his confirmed Twitter in a comical fashion.

In other news pertaining to the pop singer, Taylor Swift recently began dating her pal Rita Ora’s ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris.
