Dakota Johnson’s Mom, Melanie Griffith Hasn’t Seen 50 Shades Movie Yet

Dakota Johnson, star of the movie, ’50 Shades of Grey’ is not happy with her mother at all right now. Apparently, her mother, Melanie Griffith, hasn’t seen her daughter’s movie yet. Lara Spencer was interviewing Johnson and Griffith about the award at the Oscars Johnson is up for, for the movie and when Lara asked Griffith about not seeing her daughter’s movie yet, she had this to say:

She’s a really good actress. I don’t need to see it to know how good she is.

According to the Hollywood Reporter on Feb. 22, Johnson snapped back saying:

Alright! You don’t have to see it, Jesus Christ.

Spencer suggested maybe the reason for Griffith not seeing the movie her daughter is in yet because of the sexually explicit nature of it. Johnson responded with:

It’s a movie, she knows that.

Although this movie has hit it big everywhere and it made it to the top of the charts once again over the weekend, according to Entertainment Weekly, it barely made it to the top. It actually dropped from the charts by a whopping 72 percent from the previous weekend’s total, $85.1 million. This makes for the second weekend total to be $23.2 million, according to the report. This was about $5 million more than the ‘Kingsman, The Secret Service’ which ended up coming in second place with a total of $17.5 million.

Although the movie has made a lot of money so far, the drop in sales was actually predicted. This is mainly because the audience for the weekend were those who have read the book and had planned to see the movie once it hit theaters. Although it did drop a little in sales, for the month of February, ’50 Shades of Grey’ actually made the total the most, grossing over $93 million over four days.
