In an interview conducted by Channel 4 News’ Krishnan Guru-Murth, Robert Downey Jr. walked out after Murth brought up an older interview in which Downey talked about his relationship with his father in addition to the actor’s druggie past.
Robert Downey Jr. has been making the press rounds in order to promote his upcoming movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, which opens May 1. So its understandable that he was blind sided when the interviewer, Murth, said:
You say we’re promoting a movie (…) but we’d also like to talk a little bit about you. I don’t know how comfortable you are talking about yourself
In classic Downey Jr. style he answered, “You have as much time as anyone else will.”
You have as much time as anyone else will (…) Your foot is starting to jump a little bit, you better get to your next question
According to TMZ the veteran actor ends the interview abruptly after the subject of his father and past illicit drug use are brought up saying “You seem OK.”
You seem OK. It’s just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here.
CNN Money reports that soon after the interview, Guru-Murth posted a link to the interview on his Twitter with the caption, “a steely moment from Ironman [sic].”

The line of questioning that led to Downey’s walk-out regarded a 2008 interview with the New York Times in which Downey was quoted as saying, “You can’t go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary and really understand it and come out a liberal.”
In other entertainment news, Furious 7 broke the $1 billion milestone.
