Although Lady Gaga ended up going to the Oscars alone, without her fiancee, she confirmed he was watching from home and applauding her. The reason for the Lady’s absent fiancee is, according to Lady Gaga herself, because he has to work in the morning. Lady Gaga may have gone to the Oscars without him but the couple got engaged a little over one week ago on Valentine’s Day and will be together every day for the rest of their lives. Gaga confirmed the engagement earlier this week on Instagram with a photo of her new heart shaped engagement ring with the caption:
He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day and I said YES!
According to New York Daily News on Feb. 22, Gaga also said her favorite part about her brand new heart shaped engagement ring is the fact that it has the couples initials engraved in it in white diamonds on the band.
According to US Weekly, Gaga did send her love to her fiancee from the Oscars by doing a shout out to him. She said to the camera:
Hi Honey!”
He’s at home watching.
The singer also had this to say about her fiancee and the wonderful support he has given her.
He’s wonderful. He’s been wonderfully supportive.
Backstage at the Oscars, Lady Gaga was rehearsing her performance. The singer performed a piece from ‘The Sound of Music’s,’ ‘My Favorite Things.’ This is one of the songs that is pegged for the 50th anniversary for the release of the musical back in 1965.
Lady Gaga’s new fiancee is Taylor Kinney who is an actor on the hit show, ‘Chicago Fire’ on NBC.
