Police: Bruce Jenner Could Have Been Texting Before The Fatal Car Crash

Bruce Jenner Crash

Police investigating the deadly multi-car pileup in Southern California which Bruce Jenner was involved in are working on obtaining search warrants to check the reality TV star’s phone records at the time of the crash to determine whether he was texting when the accident occurred.

TMZ reports that if the phone records indicate the former Olympian was text messaging at the time of the accident, he could be facing vehicular manslaughter charges.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will obtain warrants to obtain Jenner’s cellphone and phone records in order to determine whether he was using the phone when his Escalade rear-ended a Lexus.

The driver of the white Lexus sedan was killed in the car accident.

While officials have yet to release the names of those involved in the accident, local reports have identified the elderly California driver of the Lexus as 70-year-old Kim Howe, according to the NY Daily.

The NY Daily News report also indicated that the deceased woman was a neighbor of the Kardashians.

CNN reported that there were no signs of a paparazzi chase in the crash involving Bruce, as the report quoted LA County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Lecrivain as having said that “there is no indication that Bruce Jenner was being chased by paparazzi at the time of the crash.”

There was a possibility that paparazzi was following him at the time of the crash, but that is a very regular occurrence, and (there is) no indication at this time it was a contributing factor of the crash.

Jenner was driving a black Cadillac SUV, towing a trailer carrying an ATV, when he ran into the Lexus from behind, causing it to spin into oncoming traffic where it was struck by a Hummer H2, killing the driver of the Lexus.

The first vehicle in the accident was a black Toyota Prius, according to deputies cited by a KCAL report.

The crash, which took place on the Pacific Coast Highway, involved four cars, injured five and left one woman dead.

ABC News reported that Bruce passed his sobriety test after the fatal car crash.

Do you think Jenner, whose sex change rumors have gone from gossip to news, was texting while driving?
