Over 9 Million Americans Enrolled In Obamacare Health Plan

The law’s second enrollment period for signing up for Obamacare health plans started in November of 2014. If you haven’t enrolled yet, there is still time to do so. Many people still need health insurance and should enroll as soon as possible so they can be covered on all health areas. According to a report by The Fiscal Times on Feb. 4, 9.9 million people have enrolled in Obamacare health plans so far. However, the clock is ticking and the deadline for this second open enrollment is coming next week.

These latest stats of enrollees include 7.5 million Americans who have enrolled through the Federal exchange as well as another 2.4 million Americans on the state exchanges. This totals to be about 9.9 million which is well over the expected goal of 9 million to begin with.

According to Reuter’s, the two top states for enrollees in Obamacare includes Florida, with 1.34 million Americans who have signed up and Texas, with a total of 969,461 Americans who have signed up for Obamacare between the time the second enrollment started on Nov. 15 and Jan. 30. However, everyone still has at least one week before the deadline for this second open enrollment which is Feb. 15.

Those who haven’t enrolled in Obamacare yet can do so through the website and by calling. They have even hired more staff to keep up with the demand of people they expect to be calling before and by the deadline of Feb. 15. If you haven’t signed up for your health plan, do so before the deadline by either going to the website or by calling, 1-800-318-2596.
