Rami, The Pitbull Dachshund Mix, Needs A Loving Forever Home

Although Rami might look like he has been photoshopped in his pictures, he is real. He is a Rottweiler and Dachshund mixed breed and he needs a loving forever home to go to. Ever since the animal shelter he is in, The Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society in Georgia has had his photo on Facebook, it has become so popular that the post with his picture on it has gotten more than 40,000 shares already. The animal shelter wants to find a good home for him but, according to the Daily Mail on Jan. 30, the response has been a mix of some commenters thinking he is adorable and others thinking he is strange looking. However, he does need a loving forever home so the animal shelter is accepting applications now for him just in case anyone is interested in adopting this cute Pitwee.

According to the dog breeding website Designer Mixes, dogs like Rami, being a combination of Pitbulls and Dachshund’s, can also be called either Pitwee or Doxbull. Yes these names might sound strange but so does Rami, a little, although he is very adorable too.

The Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society in Georgia where Rami lives right now, is afraid that dog breeders might try to make more of these dogs and try to sell them. After all, Rami wasn’t made on purpose.

According to the Huffington Post, the Humane Society he is in had this to say:

Hi! I’m Rami and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m a year old Dachshund/Pit bull mix. Yes, you’re reading that right, and, no, you haven’t gone crazy. I’m full of energy. I don’t like walking on a leash. I’m a sweetie pie, and love to run. I don’t listen very well, so you’ll need to take some time to train me. Because I tend to be a bit hyper, I might not be the best addition to a household with little kids. But I’m sure that all I need is a little lovin’. Will you take me home? Call 229-985-5463.

Not only does he need to be trained and is full of energy, his ears have been cut for some reason. Also, his head looks like a Pitbull’s head and although his body looks like a Dachshund, his legs are muscular like a Pitbull’s.

Those who are interested in adopting Rami will not only need to go through an interview process to make sure they are good people but they will also have to pay for his canine vaccinations before taking him home if they decide to adopt him.
