FBI: John Boehner’s Bartender Planned To Poison Him

John Boehner’s bartender at the Wetherington Country Club in West Chester planned to murder the congressman in a plot authorities indicated included the poisoning of his drink at the Ohio country club.

Michael Robert Hoyt, known as “Bartender Mike” to employees at the country club, served drinks to Boehner for more than five years at the Wetherington Country Club before his indictment on January 7, 2015 on charges of threatening to murder the current Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. In regards to the situation, Boehner’s spokesman, Michael Steel, said in a statement that the Speaker is “aware of this situation,” Reuters reported.

Speaker Boehner is aware of this situation, and sincerely thanks the FBI, the Capitol Police and local authorities in Ohio for their efforts

Hoyt called police on October 29, 2014, a week after he was fired from the club, blaming Boehner for his woes, police said. When officers arrived at his home on Matson Avenue in Deer Park, Hoyt told them that “he was Jesus Christ and he was going to kill Boehner because Boehner was mean to him at the country club,” 23ABC News reported.

Hoyt told the officer he was Jesus Christ and he was going to kill Boehner because Boehner was mean to him at the country club and because Boehner is responsible for Ebola […] Hoyt advised he had a loaded Beretta .380 automatic and he was going to shoot Boehner and take off.

Officers indicated that Hoyt had told them that he regretted not having enough time to put something in Boehner’s drink. Authorities also discovered that Hoyt had e-mailed Boehner’s wife, Debbie Boehner, about the plot a day prior to calling the police, Special Agent Desrosiers indicated.

Boehner’s would be assassin told investigators that he dialed 911 because he believed evil people were going to come and “chop him up,” and he was trying to expose John Andrew Boehner as the devil, court documents obtained by the I-Team revealed.

Hoyt said that he started to hear the devil’s voice from the speakers in his car and his radio at home after being fired from his job. The voices were telling him that Boehner was evil, Desrosiers said.

Fox News reported that a senior congressional source had indicated that Hoyt was committed to a mental institution from October through the end of December, but then released. Once out, law enforcement felt strongly enough to indict him in order to get him off the streets due to the potential threat he posed to the Speaker.
