Freddie Prinze Jr Learning To Walk Again Following Spinal Surgery

Freddie Prinze Jr is learning to walk again following spinal surgery. The actor was not specific about the surgery, saying he had “disc problems.”

Prinze, 38, shared the news on Twitter. On November 20, he said he had spine surgery tha morning. Prinze says he has been learning to walk, but photos and messages posted on Twitter have been positive, Fox News reported. Prinze has remained in good spirits, wishing fans a Happy Thanksgiving.

During the surgery, surgeons made an incision in Prinze’s neck. He received stitches and a brace, which he refers to as a Robo-Neck.

In the week leading up to the surgery, Prinze did not say that he was facing health challenges. He has been promoting his role in Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels, in which he voices the character Kanan, People reported.

Prinze’s wife, actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, has not commented publicly about the surgery. The couple have two children together.

Prinze rose to fame in the 1990s and met his wife while filming I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997. The couple married in 2002, two months after the release of the Scooby-Doo movie, in which they both stared, Daily Mail reported.
