Actress Debby Ryan, known to some for her appearances on such Disney shows as Wizards of Waverly Place, was arrested last week on suspicion of driving after she allegedly crashed her Audi into another vehicle, according to the authorities.
LAPD Office Mike Lopez was cited by KTLA as having said that the 22-year-old actress crashed her white 2016 Audi into a black 2015 Mercedes shortly after 7:00 p.m. on April 5, 2016. The accident occurred within close proximity to La Brea Avenue and 3rd Street.
A field sobriety test conducted by the authorities indicated that Ryan was under the influence.
TMZ, who first reported news of Ryan’s arrest, indicated that the young actress had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 percent, which is notably just over the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Ryan took to Twitter to apologize for disappointing everyone for her actions while noting that she wished she “had used better judgement.”

Her extended tweet read in its entirety:
Over the last few days I have had the chance to think about my actions, and I wish I had used better judgement. I recognize that I am a role model and have always worked hard to set a good example for my millions of fans. I am so sorry to disappoint everyone.
Instead of pursuing a felony charge, prosecutors with the Los Angeles city attorney’s office have filed a couple of misdemeanor charges against the young Disney actress.
The LA Times reports that Ryan was released from jail a little before 10:00 a.m. on April 6 after she posted the $100,000 bail that had been set. Her arraignment has been scheduled for May 2, 2016.
