A 25-year-old barista who wore a bikini while serving coffee to her customers at her Everett, Washington based coffee stand has passed away after a freak explosion at her espresso stand, Sinners and Saints Coffee, left her with burns covering most of her body.

NBC affiliate KING-5 reports that the woman, Courtney Campbell, had purchased the business just a few months prior to the fire, which occurred on the night of January 7.

While fire investigators believe that the propane tank played a part in the explosion, they’ve yet to determine the exact cause of the tragic event that ultimately claimed the life of Campbell.

The coffee stand, which was located at 4th Avenue and Everett Mall Way, was destroyed in the fire.

Campbell, a mother of two daughters, suffered burns on over 80 percent of her body as a result of the fire. Following the explosion, she was placed in a medically induced coma before eventually passing away at the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Harborview Medical Center.

Ben Scott, the boyfriend of the recently deceased, wrote on Facebook that he lost his “best friend today” on Monday, following the passing of Campbell, The Sun reported.

I lost my best friend today […] Courtney was one of the only humans I’ve ever known that cared more about me than what I could do for her […] I’ve spent the last few hours crying.

Friends and family of the recently deceased have launched a crowdfunding campaign page on GoFundMe and are, according to Fox News, organizing a memorial concert in her memory.
