Leonardo DiCaprio and girlfriend Kelly Rohrbach have officially broken up, according to multiple sources.
The actor, 41, and the supermodel, turning 26 this month, have been broken up for a few months, according to People, but the breakup was amicable. Both have hectic schedules, and couldn’t contribute time to the relationship.
They are both so busy and he’s got a big movie coming out and she’s one of the biggest supermodels in the world. There is no other person in the picture.
The couple was first spotted together over the summer in New York City, where they were seen riding CitiBikes together and kissing each other. They weren’t shy about engaging in public displays of affection, often holding hands and kissing while out with each other.
While they were seen together on Thanksgiving, they spent New Year’s Eve apart, with Rohrbach spending the holiday with her family in Connecticut. DiCaprio spent the evening with friends and others partying in the Caribbean.
DiCaprio, who achieved international stardom after appearing in the leading role for James Cameron’s Titanic, has been nominated for an Oscar four times, and is a top contender this awards season for his portrayal of a 19th century fur trapper in the film The Revenant, already seeing nominations from the Screen Actors Guild and the Golden Globes.
In the past, Leo has been linked with a number of models and actresses, including Gisele Bündchen, Victoria’s Secret Angel Toni Garrn, who he dated for over a year, and Blake Lively, prior to her marriage to Ryan Reynolds.
Rohrbach, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of the Year for 2015, began her acting career in 2012 after graduating from Georgetown University with a Theatre Degree. After getting bit parts for two years in Hollywood, she began modeling, appearing in advertisements for the Gap and Old Navy, before appearing in Sports Illustrated. She was recently cast in her first major motion picture role – C.J. Parker in the Baywatch big screen reboot.
