Robyn Brown From ‘Sister Wives’ Reveals Baby’s Gender

It’s a girl! Kody and Robyn Brown from Sister Wives have revealed the gender of the little bundle of joy they’re expecting.

This will be the second child between the two, who live in a polygamous relationship along with Kody’s three other wives and their combined 17 children. Their shared son, Solomon, is expected to be joined by a baby sister on January 7th.

The baby’s sex was revealed in an episode of Sister Wives. The couple got the news from a doctor making a regular check-up. Robyn urged the ultrasound technician to tell her the sex of the baby.

Besides his children with Robyn, Kody has one child with wife Meri Brown, six with wife Christine Brown, and six with wife Janelle Brown.

Kody also legally adopted Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage in June. Robyn was relieved the adoption process was a success:

Usually when a plural family goes into a court room they are tearing apart a family so we were really nervous going in. But here we were the whole family and we were uniting our family. It was really cool for us. Very much a validation of our family.
Robyn also said the family was extremely excited to be welcoming the latest addition to their family, adding that many had already guessed it would be a girl.

Kody is legally only married to Robyn, divorcing Meri in 2010. However, he considers all four “sister wives” to be his “spiritual partners.”

In a statement, Kody explained that their motivation for their unusual arrangement was love and family. “We have chosen to live in a plural family for many different reasons, above all we have a testimony that this is what God wants us to do and it will make us better people,” the statement reads. “Our faith is very important to us and it is intertwined into our daily lives.”
