Geraldo Rivera was there as well as and told E! News,

When they started with an X-rated joke and the rabbi was bowing his head I think it was joyful more than sorrow. Filled with laughter, it was as if she wrote it herself. I thought it was a wonderful, positive upbeat time.

Many agreed, including Whoopi Goldberg who tweeted that Ms. River’s was

given a truly funny, truly loving send off by folks who loved her.

She called the service,

funny [and] deeply moving, much like her.

The comedienne’s daughter, Melissa Rivers even gave her own nice eulogy for her mother saying,

I love having you live with me, and I am grateful for every minute Cooper and I have with you. You are an inspiration. You are also 30 days late with the rent.

Joan would have loved her service and would want everyone to return to the laughter that she most often provided for everyone. She will be sadly missed and her, Melissa, and young Cooper will continue to be in all our prayers.
