Parents Of Missing University of Virginia Student Plead For Help

Parents of the missing University of Virginia student made an emotional plea for information about their daughter, underscoring their desperate search for answers and closure on her whereabouts.

Sue and John Graham, parents of Hannah Graham, the 18-year-old student who disappeared on Sept. 13, released a written and video statement asking anyone who knows about their daughter’s disappearance to come forward, the Associated Press reported. They described the case as a nightmare and said that despite thousands of tips from the public, the college sophomore has not been found.

“Somebody listening to me today either knows where Hannah is, or knows someone who has that information. We appeal to you to come forward and tell us where Hannah can be found,” Sue Graham said in the statement.

John has already said that this is every parent’s worst nightmare … Please, please, please help end this nightmare for all of us. Please help us to bring Hannah home.

They also expressed gratitude everyone who has helped in the search and investigation of their daughter’s disappearance.

Hannah was last seen by witnesses at around 1:30 a.m. on September 13 in a bar with 32-year-old Jesse L. Matthew Jr., who was linked to the 2009 murder of another Virginia student, 20-year-old Morgan Harrington, ABC News reported.

He was also accused in 2002 and 2003 of sexual assault while he was a student in two different colleges.

Matthew has already been arrested and charged with abduction with the intent to defile, the police said.
