Selena Gomez Spotted On ‘Neighbors 2’ Set

Earlier this week, Selena Gomez was seen on the set of the upcoming film Neighbors 2, reports Billboard. News of Gomez’ casting in the film has not been officially confirmed as yet, but there has been a lot of speculation since her appearance on set about what her role in the film may be.

The film is subtitled “Sorority Rising”, which means that although Gomez has not had much time on screen since her Disney Channel days, it is not likely that she will be playing a character like the ones she has before. For the first time, fans may see Gomez break from her typecasted roles as the “Girl Next Door”, especially if she will be portraying a sorority girl as it is being rumored.

So far, although the movie is set to be released sometime next year, the studio has been keeping all information to themselves, not releasing any major details at all. It has been revealed, however that all of the major cast members from the last film are returning, and that Chloe Grace Moretz will be joining the cast as well, definitely playing the role of a sorority member.

Gomez does not offer any clues about her role in the film, as her Twitter and Instagram accounts focus mostly on her primary career, as a vocalist. According to E! News, Gomez was spotted on set, perched on the hood of a VW beetle sporting a hot pink bandage-style dress, paired with a set of large feathered earrings. She was also flanked by a group of girls wearing white dresses and flower crowns. E! News predicts that she will be featured as a rival to Moretz’ character.

Along with Efron, Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne and Dave Franco will be reprising their roles from Neighbors  in Neighbors 2, and new additions to the cast of the film will include Chloe Grace Moretz. Neighbors 2 will be making its debut in 2016.
