Apple has released several updates for iOS to address major security flaws in iOS, OS X, and Safari.
For new iOS devices, Apple has released the iOS 8.4.1 update. This patch applies to the iPhone 4S and later, the iPad 2 and later, and the iPod Touch 5th generation and later.
The iOS 8.4.1 patch makes several security improvements for these devices while addressing problems with Apple Music. The update will resolve problems that prevent a user from turning on iCloud Music Library, offer a way to add songs to a new playlist, and fix a problem that hides added music.
The patch also fixes security flaws used in the TaiG jailbreak. The patch fixes four vulnerabilities in iOS that were used by the TaiG Jailbreak Team to unlock iOS devices.
Safari was a major focus of the update. Apple listed two security flaws in Safari that could potentially allow for “website spoofing and denial of service from endless alert prompts,” according to The Register.

Apple has also patched the Mac OS X to version 10.10.5 to fix a bug in the desktop operating system that could give hackers access to the entire operating system. The patch resolves several technical issues and security holes. This update fixes the bug known as DYLD, a vulnerability in the Apple OS X that could allow hackers to remotely run a program on a Mac computer with administrator rights, CNET reported.
