Emma Watson Ends Week Of Silence, Opens Up About Matt Janney Breakup

Following her breakup with rugby star Matt Janney, Emma Watson retreated to a private facility in the Rocky Mountains of western Canada where she didn’t say a word for a week. According to Fox News, Watson journeyed into silence even before her breakup with Janney because she wanted to figure out how to be “at home with herself.”

People revealed that Watson called the dissolution of the romance “horrendous,” but she nevertheless demonstrated resilience by continuing to note that most of her dating experiences have been affirming and positive. Even though many of her significant others have found her success to be intimidating, they have often made her feel cherished and loved. She notes that, overall, she hasn’t endured very many hardships in her romantic pursuits.

A well-decorated, award-winning actress for a mid-twenties celebrity, Watson is also known as an advocate for females’ rights, especially the right to education. She was appointed as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador last year, so her work in gender rights leaves her romantic life in the realm of public suspicion. For Watson, a week-long vow of silence was a good way to step away from the paparazzi, as well as all of the tension and chaos in her life as both a celebrity and a lover.

Regarding her role as a gender advocate with the UN, Watson said, “I understood what I’m here to do and knew where to channel all this energy that has been coming at me. I now feel this sense of peace.” She continued to describe how others have noted the change in her life since she committed herself to important social issues.

I understood what I’m here to do and knew where to channel all this energy that has been coming at me. I now feel this sense of peace.

Watson’s vow of silence demonstrates that she is a real person with real struggles, however famous she may be. Love is said to be more powerful than any individual, regardless of his or her popularity and success. Watson has demonstrated for those affected by intense heartbreak that despair need not last forever.
