Zuckerberg And Wife Expecting Baby Girl

If Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan have their way, their Facebook pages will soon be filled with photos of a beautiful baby girl.

The couple announced Friday on Zuckerberg’s page that Chan is pregnant with a girl, CNN Money reported this weekend. Chan and Zuckerberg have suffered three miscarriages, but the uber-rich dad said their newest child is far enough along that the risk of miscarriage has decreased significantly.

The couple did not say what their due date is.

In an interview with CNN, Zuckerberg showed his soft side when talking about what it will be like to be a dad, saying that he already feels a connection with his daughter and is “excited to meet” her.

Cilla and our child are both healthy, I’m extremely excited to meet her, and our dog Beast has no idea what’s coming. In our ultrasound, she even gave me a thumbs up ‘like’ with her hand, so I’m already convinced she takes after me.

The Facebook community was equally excited with the news. The post received more than 200,000 likes and 18,000 comments within thirty minutes.

Zuckerberg and Chan have been transparent about their efforts to have a child, much to the appreciation of their worldwide followers. These sentiments of gratitude were evident in the comments left on the post.

One commenter wrote, “You guys are going to be such wonderful parents. Congratulations!”

Another poster said, “Kudos to you both for being open about how difficult it can be; hopefully more people will feel comfortable sharing, knowing how many people have had similar experiences.”

TODAY Parents reporter Jordan Muto also noted the Facebook post, acknowledging that the couple have been very open about their miscarriages and their hopes of having a child.

“The family of three is about to be four,” she wrote, referring to the photo the couple posted of the happy parents and their dog.
