Bill Cosby Admits He Obtained Drugs To Give To Women

Bill Cosby testified that he obtained Quaaludes in 2005 with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he also admitted that he gave the sedative to at least one woman and “other people,” according to a court document unsealed on Monday.

The court documents were ordered to be made public by a federal judge on the “grounds that Cosby is not a private citizen,” reports The Washington Post.

According to The New York Times, the court record was unsealed by a federal judge in Philadelphia, and was part of a 2005 case in which Andrea Constand, a staff member of Temple University, accused Cosby of drugging and molesting her. The case was later settled.

Constand’s lawyer, Dolores M. Trojani, asked Cosby, “When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use the Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?”

Cosby replied quite simply, “Yes.”

More then two dozen women have come forward in the last year to accuse the actor of raping or molesting them, with many of the accusers claiming Cosby also drugged them. Some of the accusations date back to the mid-1960s. The comedian has never faced criminal charges, and he and his lawyers have denied all accusations.

In fact, a statement released last November by Cosby’s attorney, Martin D. Singer claims the accusations “have escalated far past the point of absurdity.”

The new, never-before-heard claims from women who have come forward in the past two weeks with unsubstantiated, fantastical stories about things they say occurred 30, 40 or even 50 years ago have escalated far past the point of absurdity.

Neither Cosby nor his lawyer have responded to calls and emails seeking comment about the unsealed documents.
